Adventures in USA

There aren’t enough pages for everything that I want to write about our holiday. But here’s a summary!

For starters – I LOVE MOON PIES πŸŒšπŸ˜†

Me and my boyfriend went and it was the BEST time! Amazing, Life changing and Spectacular.Β We flew to Seattle and spent 3 days there and did various tourist sight-seeing and met some folks from UK too.Β We did the museum, duck tours, shopping and walking. Taking pictures at every opportunity.

We then hired a car and started our way to make the drive to my friend’s house who lived in Kalispell (Montana) It was an 8 hour drive but we stopped half way overnight in Spokane. We went to the not so great part of town and we were glad to be on our way EARLY the next day!

Arrived at my friend’s house and it was SO good to see her!! As it had been 5 years!!

Then we felt like our holiday had started. She had us stay with them and we settled in instantly which was nice. She even put this for when we walked in..

We met her husband and 2 children. The whole family was so welcoming especially as we were staying with them for 9 days.. well 7 to begin with πŸ˜‚

We had tours of everywhere in town and we spent our first night watching a volleyball game which their daughter playing was in and then pizza πŸ•Β This was the first time me and Az saw the potential in schools in America and it was crazy because at home the support you get for a school game is just the teacher/coach and that’s it. In the sports hall they had seats especially for the parents to come and watch which is great because this helps with support. Also there was a group of people who came round on the night who were part of the church and everybody talks about things they have been going through/dealing with and it was an eye opener because were very closed books compared to these people and it was nice to immediately feel comfortable and talk about anything.

We went shopping, saw ‘IT’ at the cinema 😱, ate our first Chick-Fil-A which was the best! We also experienced going to church. It was called Canvas Church and I don’t go in the UK but if they were more like that here I probably would go. It was so welcoming and more like a concert, there was live music playing and a massive stage with lights etc. The messages were also powerful because they did stick in your mind and throughout the week we definitely kept the message with us and kept saying it at times which helped!!

We were also taken to a bison range and we saw Elk, Bison, Deer and also a Coyote! But we saw most of those outside of the range haha. But we had a good day and a good laugh.

On the 50th time in the week that we went to Chick-Fil-A .. My friend had kindly text the owner and said that we have visited all the way from England and he did a care package for us which included;

EAT MOR CHIKIN
Thank you. Chick-Fil-A

After that we went kayaking in Flathead Lake. It was magical, it was very quiet and it was like there was only me and Az on the planet, unless we went into our own little world πŸ™ƒ. We spoke about important things on the river because only us two could hear and it was so nice and romantic. Just bobbing there in the middle of nowhere surrounded by water. Usually I would panic but I was very relaxed for once in my life!πŸ‘Œ

We were also took out shooting by our friends who had the nerve to take us πŸ”«

And around these parts they have signs that say ..

Ooo oh!

I also got treated as my birthday was a week later (when we would be home) to my FIRST pedicure. So me and Kelly had a lovely girly morning, having our feet done. She treated me too which was so so kind of her πŸ’–

We cheekily asked if we could stay for a couple more days because we actually didn’t want to leave. Luckily we did though because there was snow for the day we were actually supposed to leave.

More shopping and eating as the week went on and it was their other daughters birthday whilst we were there and she allowed 9 kids over πŸ™ˆΒ – crazy evening but wouldn’t have changed it because we had a good laugh. (especially when they all left) πŸ™Š

So Sunday came and we had a good chat with Kelly and Travis before we left, things that we will remember forever we can’t wait to come back and see you and we can’t thank you enough for having us and showing us round your home & being so welcoming. Thankful that we all got on 🀣

We said our goodbyes and headed back to Seattle for our last night. We eventually got there after a VERY long drive! The next day we had doughnuts for breakfast 🍩 and then made our way to the airport! ☹️

It was BY FAR the best holiday I’ve been on! We have come back with slight changes in our life for the better!
